Swim Carnival Permission

uesday 18 February 2020

RE: Swimming ‘FUN’ Carnival Friday 21 February

This Friday all students in K-6 are going to the Batlow Pool for a ‘Fun’ Carnival as our Sport activity for this week. Students may bring along their flippers, goggles, snorkels etc to participate in fun races and wear their red and green house colours once again. Points will be collected and added to the Yr 2-6 swimming carnival points so that we can present the new House Trophy to either Hume or Hovell at the end of the day.

Students will depart school at 11.00am and then depart the pool at 1:30pm.

All students will walk to and from the pool.

 Students will need to bring:

  • Swimmers
  • Towel
  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Recess
  • Packed lunch unless ordering from the Batlow Bakery as per normal.

Home cooking and cake raffle will also go ahead as normal.

Please sign and submit permission on the form below.

Dear Parents,

Many of you have had a traumatic and unsettled school holiday break and our thoughts and prayers are, and will remain for some time, with all families who have experienced hardship or loss.

Catholic Education Canberra & Goulburn has offered financial support through fee relief to families adversely impacted by the 2019/2020 bushfires. I have been in contact with some families in regard to this relief already.

To access immediate and full 2020 fee relief, please contact me if your family has experienced any of the following:

  • Serious injury to yourself or an immediate family member
  • Loss of life of an immediate family member
  • Principal place of residence has been destroyed or significantly damaged including:
    • The interior has sustained major damage
    • Damage from the fire has exposed the interior to the elements
    • The residence has been declared structurally unsound, or
    • The interior has been affected by sewerage contamination
  • Loss of livelihood or primary income source including:
    • Livestock
    • Business, or
    • Employment

Families who have not been impacted by the above circumstances but are experiencing financial hardship can apply for fee remissions through the normal fee concession process. Please contact the front office for further information.

Parents and carers are always welcome to contact me to discuss any matters that affect your child’s education or well-being so that we can tailor support to those most affected in our community.
