- ALL SAINTS' AND ALL SOULS' DAY
Dear Parents and Carers,
This Friday is our Staff Spirituality Day and therefore a pupil free day. Staff will be attending the day with teachers from St Joseph’s, Adelong and St Patrick’s, Gundagai as we are led through prayer and reflection on the Gospel of Luke. We trust that the students will have a special day planned for them.
Unfortunately, Year 6 students who are enrolled in Year 7 at McAuley, Tumut in 2020 will need to attend McAuley on Friday 8 November for their second transition day. We wish our Year 6 students a great day of making new friends, meeting new teachers and getting to know how the secondary campus in Tumut is organised, particularly how to read and interpret the timetable.
This Wednesday, our Kindergarten 2020 students start their transition program. This is an exciting time for them and for us! We look forward to getting to know our new students and welcoming them, and their families, into our school. Ahead of Wednesday we have invited our new families in to school for quiet afternoon time on Monday and Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm. Families can look around the school when the older students have left for the day. Teachers will be available for a chat ahead of the busy day on Wednesday morning.
Next week is the long awaited Borambola Excursion for students in Year 2/3/4, their first overnight school excursion! Parents should have received the final email regarding ‘what to bring’ and departure and arrival times. If you have any questions ahead of the excursion please do not hesitate to ask. Ms Buckmaster and myself are happy to answer any questions.
Have a great week everyone.
Jannine
