- THOUGHT OF THE WEEK
Mrs Richards is on leave for Week 9 and Week 10. We were lucky to have Mrs Baron have the day with us yesterday. Mrs Baron will be here again next Monday.
It was lovely for the students and Mrs Baron to have the chance to say goodbye.
It was unfortunate that this weeks Western Region Mass had to be postponed. It would have been a great opportunity for our Year 6 to meet children from other schools in our region. We are yet to be notified of a date for Term 4.
A reminder that we will celebrate our writing publication with a Mass at 12:00 noon with Miss Buckmaster and the 2/3/4 Class on Thursday 26th September. The children will be showcasing their writing publications to the school community. Bring your sandwich and join us on the oval for a picnic lunch.
Seasons of Growth is a programme for children, young people or adults who have experienced significant change or loss in their lives. The feelings centred around change are normal and are often fought against as we don’t realise that they are normal. If you are interested in your child being part of this program could you contact the school for further information.
Thank you to parents who have indicated they would like to know more about this program. I will be in touch with you this week.
We have some exciting activities for Mission Month early next term. Does your child have a plain white t-shirt that I can have to dye during the school break? If they do please send it in with your child’s name on it before the end of term.
Could I please ask you to take a quiet time of the day and say the following prayer for rain.
It was on the Gundagai Parish Facebook site.
Lord God,
Bless Australia – our Great South Land of the Holy Spirit.
Grant, that as the Cross shines in our Southern skies,
So may Christ bring light to our nation, to its people old and new.
May we receive the blessing of abundant rain so that the ‘desert blooms
with the life that lies in wait.’
We ask this through Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.
We continue to bloom and grow at St. Marys
