- Thought Of The Week
It is Catholic Schools' Week and the theme, ‘Engaging Faith, Minds and Community’ highlights the faith based nature of Catholic schools while emphasising our inclusiveness-that all are welcome. As part of a Catholic community our schools are called to celebrate diversity, inspire minds and help shape the young people to serve those most in need. We celebrate Mass together as a school community this Thursday 9 May at 10am, followed by morning tea. We hope to see you there. I, unfortunately, regret that I have to put in my apologies as I will be attending a principal’s meeting in Young.
This week we were to also to celebrate Catholic School’s Week with St Joseph’s Adelong by combining our Athletics Carnival on Wednesday. Due to the weather forecast this is now postponed to Thursday 23 May. I am hoping that our email alert system is getting notices to you quickly, avoiding any confusion.
On a final note Catholic Schools' Week is also begins our enrolment period for 2020. This year we are having an information evening Thursday 16 May starting at 6:00pm. All parents of prospective students for 2020 are invited to attend and have a look around our school setting in order to start the conversation for their child.
Have a lovely week everyone,
Jannine
Our theme for Catholic Schools week 2019,

Faith - placing Christ at the Centre.
Minds - insiring achievement and the fulfilment of each child's potential.
Community - to become valuable, caring members of the school and extended community.

Miss Buckmaster and 2/3/4 are on a mission to implement a new recycling system for St Mary's.

We hope that parents will be on board with our new recycling practices and help us help the environment by significantly reducing our current waste production.
