Happy Easter to all! Did you know that the word 'Alleluia!' went to sleep in the church over Lent?
On Easter Sunday we sing Alleluia again, in fact twice at the closing of Mass.
We are now in the season of Easter which lasts for 50 days until Pentecost Sunday.
Week 2 St Mary's will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week with a Mass at 10:00 am.
Parents and friends of St. Marys are invited to join us for morning tea afterwards.
Holy Week Focus
Congratulations to Mrs Richards who graduated with a Master of Educational Leadership from Australian Catholic University on the 12th April.
The Master of Educational Leadership promotes leadership for excellence in a wide range of educational contexts. It addresses some of the key challenges facing educational leaders, such as: leading whole school communities or educational administrative centres to become learning organisations; building a skilled workforce to ensure teacher quality; leading evidence-based program and curriculum evaluations to improve learning outcomes; and identifying the role that new technologies play in educational futures.
Our Easter raffle raised $240. The money raised will go to Caritas Australia to help with their work in underpriveliged countries. Thank you to families for their generosity.
St Mary's school counsellor Mel will visit St Mary's this Thursday 2nd May and in week 7, Thursday 13th June. If you would like your child to visit the counsellor pick up a referral form from the office.

Thank you to the students and their families who marched on ANZAC Day for St Mary's.
We would like to thank the Breward family and in particular Sebastian Breward’’s grandmother Anne Maree Young, for her generous donation of ANZAC Bears over the past four years. Each bear has a story attached to a serving officer which is linked to an official website. This compliments our display which is a regular feature of ANZAC commemorations and Remembrance Day observances.
