As we head into the back half of Term 3, we are continuing to push the message of gratitude, empathy and positive learning behaviours with our students. I ask that you continue to ask your children “what went well for you today, what have you done for someone else throughout the day?” These questions and behaviours raise awareness of others and encourage our students to see the good in their worlds.
Parent Communication
One of the outcomes that came from the ‘Tell Them From Me’ parent survey was the desire for parents to be informed about their child’s learning, behaviour and social-emotional development. For me, this message is a clear sign that our families want to be more connected and engaged with their children and their learning. This is great. As a school, we will definitely try to reach out on a regular basis to maintain a strong connection with our parent community but I also encourage families to reach out to our staff and check in. This can be via email, phone call or an appointment to discuss your child’s education (including how you can help at home). We look forward to continuing to work with our families and supporting parents and carers with their connection to school.
Children’s Mass and Breakfast (No Working Bee)
We look forward to having our families for Children’s Mass this Sunday, 8.30am at St Mary’s. Families and parishioners are more than welcome to stick around for a bbq breakfast together. Due to the uncertainty of weather, busyness and prior commitments of families, we will schedule our working bee for later in the Spring.
Book Week 2024
Thank you to our parents and children for their wonderful engagement with our Book Week celebrations. Students certainly seemed to enjoy their day and much of this can be attributed to the engagement of families. An enormous thank you to Mrs Murray for the organisation and coordination of the day. It was a terrific celebration. All that is left to do now…is to grab a book and start reading!
Thanks again families - enjoy your the remainder of the week,
Ryan
