CogLearn Visit
This week we welcomed a number of visitors to our school, most notably Sommer Johnson from CogLearn. It was great to have her meet our students, teach with our staff and support us as we continue to develop our teaching and learning practice. We look forward to further implementing some of these high impact teaching strategies in the coming weeks.
School Community Council - Open Meeting
I am very appreciative of the great work our school community council team has done this year. As mentioned in previous communication, being connected to your child’s school is a rewarding opportunity and we would like to welcome any parents and carers to our next meeting on Tuesday 3rd September at 5.30pm as it is an open meeting. This option of attendance can simply be to see how our meetings run or to have some input in the decisions being made around the school.
St Mary’s Children’s Mass
On Sunday 8th September, St Mary’s will celebrate the feast day of Mary with our Children’s Mass. Being Mary’s Feast Day, we'd love to see plenty of our families attend this Mass and join us after. Mrs Dumbrell has done up a Google Form, which will be shared in a number of places in the coming weeks. Please let us know if you can attend!
Looking forward to seeing families at our Book Week parade tomorrow,
Ryan
Children’s Mass
Next Sunday, the 8th of September we will celebrate Mass at 8:30 am, hosted by students of St Mary’s. If you are attending Mass, please let me know and I will give your child a special role to practise.
Please click on the link below to complete the Google form, alternatively, you can contact the office to let me know and I will assign your child a role.
Father’s Day
Wishing all of our wonderful St Mary’s fathers, step-dads, uncles, grandads and father figures a very special day on Sunday. We hope you enjoy the gifts that your children have made and the beautiful sunshine with your loved ones.
If families have any change of address, phone, email or other contact details please update on Compass or let the office know to update for you. It is important that we have correct details for families.
We ask that parents let the office know if your child has a change of afternoon arrangements. Staff have a duty of care to ensure students safety.
Students in 3.4 and 5.6 enjoyed decorating Gingerbread Men / People biscuits as part of our Library lessons this week. They were very creative!
Years 3 and 4 also got into the spirit of the Book Week theme 'Reading is Magic' and performed some magic tricks for their friends. We all love celebrating Book Week!
