Dear Parents,
It is looking pretty good on our playground at the moment. KidsXpress have donated some climbing equipment and we are expecting even more items shortly. Engaging students in play supports their well being, helps little ones to negotiate friendships and develops speech. All good reasons to have more things out for our students to do. Keep your eye out for more items soon.
Principal 2024
Both students and staff were very pleased to meet incoming principal, Mr Ryan Forsyth, on Tuesday. Mr Forsyth toured the school, saw learning in action and met many students and staff members. Our hand over meeting even included how to open our front gate! He is very pleased to be starting his St Mary's journey with us in February next year. Mr Forsyth will be back for another hand over meeting Friday 24 November. We will be holding a parent morning tea at 11am in our weather shed and all parents are invited to come along to say hello. In the meantime, Mr Forsyth will be continuing in his role as the Assistant Principal, Sacred Heart Cootamundra.
Remembrance Day
On Monday, our students will be commemorating Remembrance Day at 11am, after the official day Saturday 11 November. Our Year 6 leaders will be assisting with the ceremony.
Transition this week!
Our new Kindergarten students return this Friday morning and Year Six will also be heading to McAuley in the afternoon for another opportunity in transitioning into 2024.
Have a lovely week everyone!

K/1/2 were very proud to host Mass today in our St Mary’s church. It was a special celebration thanking God for the gifts of creation with Father Jo presiding.
It was lovely to see some parents join us.
The smell of rain on the grass and plants were a delight to wake up to this morning - our gardens will be happy and so will the vege gardens that 5/6 assisted in tidying up yesterday.
Have a blessed week everyone.
