Dear Parents,
What a wonderful time to have your child at St Mary's!
Last Sunday and Monday's celebration of Catholic Education was simply wonderful and I thank so many parents for coming along to be part of it. Our students were well prepared and I am very proud of each one of them. St Mary's staff worked hard to bring this event together and Community Council were by our side as well. Thank you for donations of food for our morning tea. We certainly needed it as we had so many guests, past students and Catholic Education personnel including Director Ross Fox. It was a team effort!
Many photos and videos were taken to record this special time for our school and they will also go into our archives for future celebrations.
I am in Canberra today and tomorrow at Principal meetings. Ms Amy Buckmaster is in charge in my absence.
Have a lovely week everyone.

Catholic Education in Batlow is officially 100! What a wonderful couple of days we had celebrating this week. To see so many people with a past or present connection to St Mary’s enjoy reminiscing, catching up, laughing, smiling and enjoying our reenactment, to say the least, my heart is filled with so much joy.
A beautiful Mass was celebrated on Monday morning. The children were very reverent and sang beautifully. We thank Father Richard, Father Joe and Father George for concelebrating. It was very special to have our St Mary’s church full!

I hope you were able to catch a glimpse of the celebrations at some stage. If not, stay tuned for photo updates over the coming weeks.
To finish off a special week, this Friday 27th October, students are invited to wear their favourite socks to raise money for those in need. October is Socktober for Mission Month.
Wear your favourite socks and donate with loose change, both gold and silver.
With our loose change we aim to create a coin line. Our goal is to create the longest line of coins possible!
It will be a sock-tastic day!
