The event is less about your running speed and more about having the time of your life. Tumut Colour Explosion Fun Run is a 4.5km, un-timed event, family friendly event in which participants or “Colour Runners”, are doused from head to toe in different colours whilst passing colour stations throughout the designated course.
Tumut Colour Explosion Fun Run is all about having the most fun possible whilst being active. All participants are asked to wear white at the starting line & finish plastered in colour!
After participants complete the fun run, the fun continues with an unforgettable Finish Festival. This larger than life party is equipped with music, dancing, sprinklers and massive colour throws, which create millions of vivid colour combinations.
Tickets are $5/single entry or $15/family (2 Adults & 2 Children).
The Tumut Colour Explosion Fun Run will be held in conjunction with Youth Week, however, will be a whole community event not youth exclusive.
The aim is to create social awareness around suicide prevention, mental health and reducing associated stigmas; with all proceeds being donated to Gotcha4Life.
Gotcha4Life are a non for profit organisation that has provided funds for mental health and suicide prevention programs to be rolled out through SVC based high schools and Gundagai High. With an approximate cost of $15000/year to run these workshops, Gotcha4Life provides funds that can’t be raised to ensure all youth have ongoing access to workshops and resources.
