Our countdown is underway to our 100th Celebration in October! The next event we have planned is a Learning Journey!
Learning Journey
Learning across the school has been really very settled, and students are demonstrating confidence, especially this term. We invite all parents and grandparents to come in and see the great learning happening next Tuesday 8 August from 1:45pm. We will start with a mini assembly and then students may take their adult members to their classroom so they can share their learning. We hope you can join us!

Students from Year 3 /4 represented our school proudly on Tuesday in League Tag! They have been training regularly and finally were able to put their skills into action. Teachers reported that they played well and can be very proud of their efforts, especially their team work! Well done Year 3/4! Harley Smith was named most valuable player and Phillip Quarmby was also named most valuable player with the St Joseph’s tackle team. Well done Year 3 /4 and thank you to teachers for supporting them in playing this great game!
Have a lovely week everyone!

Next Tuesday, 8th of August we will acknowledge the Feast Day of St Mary MacKillop as we celebrate our 75 day countdown with our Learning Journey. It is a very special day that acknowledges Australia's first saint, recognising her contribution to the education of the working class and poorer Australians in her time.
In 1866 St Mary MacKillop started her first school in Penola, South Australia. In the years that followed, she co-founded the Sisters of St Joseph and established schools and places of refuge for the working class and poor across Australia and New Zealand. She devoted her life from an early age to caring for and educating children.
Did you know that our wonderful school of St Mary’s was founded by the Josephite sisters (Sisters of St Joseph) back in 1923?
Did you know that is why we have a beautiful portrait of St Mary of the Cross in our front foyer? Without her work and determination to bring Catholic education to all we may not be the school we are today.
Mary MacKillop was a trail-blazer in her lifetime, leaving a culture of exemplary living for her followers to continue.
“Never see a need without doing something about it,” - Mary MacKillop
Have a beautiful week everyone,
