This Sunday, Catholic and Anglican churches will commemorate ‘The Ascension of the Lord’. The Ascension is the event, where Jesus Christ arose into heaven, at the end of his time on earth.‘Ascension Day’ or ‘The Feast of the Ascension’ is traditionally celebrated on Thursday, the fortieth day of Easter (39 days after Easter Sunday). However, some provinces have moved the observance to the following Sunday, for us that is this Sunday 21st. ‘Ascension Day’ fills us with the hope that, one day, all believers will be welcomed into eternal life with Christ in heaven.
Have a blessed weekend everyone.
Enjoy Ciderfest if you are attending.
