Dear Parents,
Welcome back!
This term started for teachers with a Staff Development Day facilitated by Tim Smith from Catholic Education. We spent the day centred around our Vision statement and discussing our next steps as we move into our 100th anniversary of Catholic Education in Batlow in 2023. Consultation with students and parents is critical in this process so we have not finished the process yet.
Boorowa Touch Carnival Yr 2-6
This carnival that was scheduled for Friday 21 October has unfortunately been cancelled due to the weather and ground conditions.
Jindabyne excursion Yr 4-6
This excursion is ready to go! Thank you, parents, for your attention to notes and and payments. Final details will be provided next week.
Gymnastics K-6
Ben from Little Champions is back with us this term to run our gymnastics program. Sessions will be run at the Batlow RSL. Thank you to Kylie and her team for accommodating us.
Uniform
Summer uniform is now expected to be worn. Please know that on standard uniform days full black shoes are part of that uniform. Sport days will continue to be on Wednesdays and Fridays while gymnastics sessions are on.
Open Day
Our final Open Day is this Friday 14 October. Please let interested families know to call in and have a tour of our school if they are seeking enrolment for their child, K-6.
Have a lovely week everyone.
Jannine
At the end of Term 3 Amy Buckmaster partnered with Aimee Breward in Tumut Takes 2.
Their charity was Do It For Batlow and they raised nearly $10,000.
Congratulation to them both.
Welcome to Term 4! I hope all families had a restful break with an opportunity to recharge and be with loved ones.
I have a prayer for staff and students as we begin our new school term:
Dear God,
Come be with us today and everyday,
Fill our hearts with joy.
Fill our minds with wonder and knowledge.
Fill our classrooms with peace.
Fill our lessons with fun and excitement.
Fill our friendships with kindness.
Fill our school with love and compassion.
Amen.
Have a wonderful week.
