Dear Parents,
The Batlow Show is just a few weeks away. Students have been making and creating some beautiful artworks for our school display. If your child is interested in submitting an entry into other categories please see the information below. The Batlow Show is always a highlight of the year.
Parent phone interviews
Thank you to all parents who took the opportunity for a teacher/parent phone call regarding their child’s start to the 2022 school year. Teachers have reported positive conversations. Our next offer of parent/teacher interviews is after reports are finalised at the end of Term 2. If parents wish to speak with their child’s teacher in the meantime please contact them via email to arrange an appointment. Teacher email addresses are:
Amy.buckmaster@cg.catholic.edu.au
Sarah.collins@cg.catholic.edu.au

Covid Update
From this week masks are now optional, not mandatory for staff. Students may also continue to wear masks if they wish. Families are encouraged to use the Rapid Antigen Test kits if their child presents with cold/flu like symptoms. Daily Covid Status Reports will continue over the next few weeks.
Principal’s Retreat
I will be away from today to Friday at a Director’s Day and Principal’s Retreat. Ms Amy Buckmaster will be in charge in my absence.
Have a lovely week everyone.
Jannine
Last Friday evening Ms Holland, Ms Richards and I attended the World Day of Prayer service at St Mary’s church.
With the unfathomable events happening in the Ukraine at this very moment and those in Northern NSW and Queensland, it seemed even more appropriate and necessary to gather and pray for those who are suffering and in desperate need.
During 2020 and into 2021, our community received an outpouring of support in our very own time of trial. We would like to do the same to those affected. Teachers and I are finalising an idea of what we could do and will inform parents soon.
In the meantime, we pray
Loving Father God, we cry out to you for all who have had their homes or livelihoods flooded and wrecked in recent times, for those who’ve been frightened or injured, and for those who have lost loved ones. Please bring them relief. Comfort and heal, our great God.
Thank you for all who turned out to help their neighbours, or strangers they heard needing help.
Show us how we can be helpers.
God, in your mercy
Hear our prayer
God of the past, the present and the future,
Our thoughts and prayers are with our sisters and brothers in the Ukraine and the surrounding countries in their fear and distress.
We pray too for all other regions of the world where there is conflict, unrest and oppression.
We pray that reconciliation will overcome hatred,
Peace will conquer war,
Hope will replace despair
And that your plans for the region will be fulfilled.
God, in your mercy
Hear our prayer.
