Dear Parents,
We are back! And it is wonderful! Returning to face to face learning is essential for best practice learning and for our students to be back with friends. Teachers are pulling together programs and assessment items to finalise Term 3 learning. Thank you for all that you have done over the past four weeks to assist learning from home. We are very proud of the independence showed by our students in moving onto MS Teams, See Saw and Google Classroom and completing set work and a whole variety of other activities. Students on our school site varied from 7 to 17 over various days as we were open to essential workers. Staff were also happy to be back together on site today even with level 3 restrictions as we worked as two teams to limit movement on site. So we hadn't seen each other for a while either.
Survey
We are very aware that we may be plunged back into lockdown should cases present in our local government area. With this in mind it would be good to assess our remote learning model. Could parents follow the survey link below, to provide feedback for future planning. Thank you in advance.
Year 5/6 Excursion
As the Year 5/6 excursion to Jindabyne is in Wk 10, we are hopeful that it will go ahead and our older students will finally have the excursion they have waited 2 years for. Could all Year 5/6 parents please continue to forward instalments of $50 each month to keep on top of the overall cost.
Covid Fee Relief
Any family whose household income has been affected by the recent COVID lockdown and the economic downturn are urged to contact me for assistance. Further details were provided in a separate email, sent today via Compass.
As we approach the school holidays I think it’s safe to say that we all deserve a little break. I wish all students and their families a very happy holiday and look forward to seeing you back to start Term 4 on Tuesday 5 October.
Blessings
Jannine
We warmly welcome all of our students back to school this week. How lovely it is to be together again this week before we all take a well earned rest.
Parents, you have all done an amazing job during this difficult time of lockdown. I thought it fitting that the prayer this week be for families, as this time has been a reminder that our family is what is most important. Please enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday.
Last Wednesday was the Blessed Virgin Mary's Feast Day. It is a very special day for us to celebrate, especially since she is the patron saint of our school.
Students were asked to prepare a prayer space that they could place a prayer card to St Mary on. Look at some of the beautiful spaces that have been made at home!!
We hope to celebrate together next term. I will set a date as soon as covid restrictions allow for us to gather as a school.
